Teeth Whitening in
Kennesaw, GA
In reality, it’s almost inevitable that your teeth will become stained. Over time, all the coffee and tea we drink and all the pizza and pasta we eat can add up. Almost anything you eat and drink adds a little something to your smile. This happens gradually, but eventually, you become aware that your teeth aren’t “pearly whites” anymore.
Professional teeth whitening remains one of the easiest ways to give a boost to your smile and your confidence. Our whitening treatments are stronger and more effective than the products in the toothpaste aisle. Whether you prefer in-office whitening or trays to take home, most patients notice significant improvements after a few sessions.
It’s time to take control of your oral care. Get rid of the stains, and let your smile brighten people’s days. At Hildreth Dental, we’ll help you discover which whitening option is best for you.

What are the benefits of teeth whitening?
Teeth whitening offers numerous benefits. It brightens your smile, boosts confidence, and can make you appear healthier, happier, younger, and more energetic. Achieving these results may only require one treatment.
-
Is teeth whitening safe?
Teeth whitening is generally considered safe, and professional treatments are the safest option. If you use at-home whitening solutions, be careful not to overdo it. Avoid using abrasive whiteners too often or aggressively, as this can damage your enamel. If using chemical whiteners, opt for strips with lower chemical concentrations and avoid leaving them on too long, as this can cause tooth sensitivity and gum discomfort.

How is professional teeth whitening performed?
Our office offers two types of professional teeth whitening services: in-office and custom-made trays.
In the in-office procedure, we start by protecting vulnerable areas inside the mouth, such as the lips and gums, to prevent exposure to the peroxide. Then, we activate a high-concentration hydrogen peroxide gel directly to the teeth. You will rest comfortably for a short time until the gel does its work. After that, we remove the coverings and rinse the gel away.
For the custom-made trays, we will take a custom mold of your teeth to create clear trays that you can take home along with a whitening gel. These trays help minimize the risk of the whitening gel affecting your gums or mouth, allowing you to whiten your teeth from the comfort of your home. To use them, place the whitening gel inside the trays and put the trays in your mouth.
